Australia has a 12-year high school system and universities have a three-year term; Hong Kong high school graduates can attend Australian universities through certificate and diploma courses.
Each province in Australia has its own public examination, and the university accepts students with high school grades (11 and 12).

The quality of education in all schools is maintained at a high level. University entrance qualifications are generally high school graduates. Hong Kong secondary school graduates can apply for Australian university degree programs. Secondary 5 students can apply for a certificate course and move on to a second year of university after entering a diploma course.
